These flowerpaintings often have a sculptural character. They are built up in many layers. Some of them started out as a so-called Balloon-pour: This is a pouring out of acrylic paint, after this a balloon is pushed into the paint to make the paint look like the inside of a flower. It is just one of the techniques  used to create an interesting effect...most paintings are a result of different experiments with all kinds of materials. After installing for example flowers of silk she  moves  on to use the best oilpaints availble to accomplish those intense luxerious semi-abstract flowerfeel that can stand the face of time... You really have to  see the interesting textures this layering proces gives to the final painting!
